Duty of care for business waste - Recycling

Electrical construction material does contribute to a large part of the waste we offload.  It is also important to keep electrical wires and cables out of the general waste.

The plastic coating is commonly made from polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride, which does not break down harmlessly in the landfill sites.  In addition to this, if exposed to extreme heat etc the plastic coating can release harmful contaminants such as lead and dioxins into the environment.

BUB Electrical Limited takes responsibility for ensuring all waste is recycled where possible and we have procedures in place to ensure safe management of all waste.

All our wires and cables are deposited into the local recycling centres and all lamps and batteries are returned to the supplier for safe disposal/recycling.
