Emergency Lighting

The legal requirement is that non-domestic buildings must be safe at all times, even if mains power failure occurs. On this basis, nearly all such buildings must have emergency lighting fitted.

Emergency lights are self-contained units that are wired into the mains supply, but have the added benefit of battery backup, which enables them to remain illuminated should the mains power fail.

We can assist in the installation of a complete emergency lighting systems to current regulations and British Standards, including emergency escape lighting, standby lighting and escape route lighting.

Once the installation is complete the system will be tested and certificated.

Post installation the emergency lighting system should be tested daily with a visual inspection, monthly via an internal inspection and annually with a full inspection.

If you require any help with the annual inspection just contact us.
